    Cutting off spring perch?

I bought JOM coilovers and I'm already kind of regretting it. I'll probably run them through the winter and get something else in the spring/summer. Until then, the front is still a little higher than I'd like it. I've seen other people cutting off the spring perch so they can actually use the entire adjuster. If I do that, am I fucking myself in the long run? Do I need that when I put in a legit setup after the winter? Or can I get rid of it and not worry about it?

If you are going to stick with coilovers, then cut it off.
You are certainly not F'ing yourself, as clean, uncut strut housings can be had for a reasonable price, so even if you decide to go back to standard diameter springs, you can always swap the housings for uncut perches.

Yeah I'm going to stick with coilovers. I just saw that you needed to cut and weld with certain setups like the Megan's and GC and didn't want to need new housings after the winter. Thanks. Guess I'll be cutting the perches off tomorrow.
