    New suspsension

Ok, just got my suspension done and bled my brakes and took my car around the block (no insurance or registration yet). Holy shit, bitch sits low and handles better than anything I have been in. Like a slot car, or a go kart.

    List of mods:
H&R Race springs (front ended up dropping 2.25" according to the Bentley)
Koni Yellow's (currently on full soft, almost feels like it should have been from the factory)
    PowerFlex Subframe Bushings
    IE trailing arm bushings
SS braided brake lines (nice and firm brakes)
25mm Master Cylinder (even more firm)
Vorshlag/MotorForce Camber/Caster plates (currently on max neg = about 5-5.5 degrees negative camber)

I still need to get some sway bars and their associated bushings and links, still need control arm bushings. Thats about all that is left as far as suspension goes, then its time to dive into the M50 I have sitting in the house, hooray motor!
I'm happy, handles like a dream and doesn't ride too harsh since the Koni's are full soft right now. Can't wait to change them to see how it feels.
    On with the pictures!

    How it looks now:

Old front spring vs. new front spring:

Old rear spring vs. new rear spring:

Installed front suspension (minus bump stop, which I did put in later):

    Installed rear suspension:

    Camber plates (hooray!):

If you want to see anything else just ask and I will get a picture of it and post it up here. Rides great, I suggest that everyone should get Koni's just for the adjustability of them

Nice, I am gettin a set of the race springs so it's nice to see pics of the stance. But everyone lists on their sites 1.6" and 1.5" but I never thought that was correct.

yea, I figured it would be a little more that what the sites said but I didn't know it would be off by that much. but even with it this low I don't scrape (or atleast not yet), but I do have a skid plate that I made that I am putting under there just incase. the oil pan is only about 2.5 - 3 inches off the ground.

The stance really is, I just wish I could run them up here in NE. Had to get rid of my cup kit for that very reason.

That sucks man, sorry bout that. Louisiana and southern roads in general are pretty flat, except for the uneven concrete on most roads.

Damn, I knew the oil pan sat low but 2.5"-3"? Wow. I would have to make some kind of skid plate as well

I got the Koni's from daniel over at flyingbrickperformance.com
Great customer service and an all around good guy to boot, highly recommended. I ended up getting all of my suspension stuff from him just because of the fact that he has amazing customer service.

yeah those look like some nice plates, even have longer bolts for strut tower bars edit: http://www.motor-force.com/camberplates.html also, the h&r race seem to have a much better stance then IE stage 3's also do you know how little camber you can get for street driving?

I got the camber plates from FlyingBrick. I had originally ordered the IE race plates and IE3's, but due to IE's backorders and delays Daniel gave me the option of upgrading, so I did. Although I had seen these plates mentioned and that they were pretty good so that also had a little to do with me going with them. They are VERY high quality, I can't stress this enough. The spherical bearing they use is of a high quality too, here is a link to their tech info on it: http://www.motor-force.com/sphericalbearing.html
I haven't had a chance to change the settings on the camber plates yet, isn't registered yet, things to do: Tomorrow - get registration.
I am going to go to a buddy's work, mazda dealership, and use their alignment setup and put a mark for normal street driving (probably all the way out) and another mark for track use. The plates also allow for a little bit of castor change as well. The mounting bolts on top are all welded together and the plates have slots (probably about .5 inch) to adjust castor.
