    Z3 Rack swap weight/feel

Just took my 90 'is' out after a Z3 rack swap with sport springs/Bilsteins/17" and
    215/45 Yokos.
The steering is very direct. Think switch lanes and it does.
However the feel is sort of over assisted. I would like some weight at speed.
    Any suggestions?

do you still have power steering? if not removing it makes steering feel and response awesome at speed. low speed situations kinda suck but i manage it just fine even on fat sticky potenzas and weenie arms turning the wheel.

plus less weight, one less thing to break/leak, and no pump sapping power from your engine.

increased caster will also make the steering a little bit stiffer. treehouse eyeballs or m3 offset control arm bushings will increase caster a bit.

      Thanks Miitch
May try the boost delete. Also have the offset CABs installed.

Running into the opposite problem on my e46 rack swap. its actually rather heavy. e36 pump with my m50 swap. no idea why. I purposely did not choose the z3 rack due to the results you have talked about.

there was some talk about modifying the bypass spring in the pump to provide less pressure to lessen the 'assist'.

We all have very different ideas of what is heavy.

I use an E46 rack, no power steering, offset control arm bushes, 350mm steering wheel and 15x8 with 205/55 and have no issues at high, or low speed.
