E46 steering rack part #s

Hello everyone,

I´m looking at doing the e46 rack swap but i´m not sure which rack is best suited for this.
There is a purple tag rack with 7852 974 678/6 755 064 available for sale locally and I would like to make sure I am looking at the right one.

Is there a sticky with the different rack part numbers anywhere?

This is going to be a one man thread :yawn:

So in the end I ordered the Gold tagged rack from a 330i for 100$ shipped.
I had read somewhere that both inner and outer E46 arms could be used, so I am going to try the install with the ones already on the rack.

I won´t have time until mid August but I will take pictures and do a write up, since I could´t find an E46 rack specific DIY.

Where did you get a rack for $100? Do they have another one!?

I spend a few months in Europe every year and the IS is my vacation car. The rack came from a local breakers, but there have to be Gold tagged racks available in the U.S. for much less than the Z3 rack.
