Suspension Install issue!

So, my brother set out to get his H&R Cup Kit installed this weekend, and has had some issues.

For some reaosn, even fully compressed with a spring compressor - the front struts will not come together. It's like the shock is too short? We're kind of at a loss here.

Also - I was reading that the cup kit isn't as stiff as the H&R Sports w/ Bilsteins. Can anyone confirm this?

Help quickly would be appreciated! :)

Much softer, hope he likes riding the bumpstops all day long. I swapped out from the cup kit to H$R OE sports, with this being a large reason why.

Hmm, that's what I was afraid of.

Any ideas on the spring though? It's probably not too late for him to return the suspension kit.

What's the compressed height of the spring? And can you measure how long the shock tube comes out of the housing?

Going from memory here, but I think my M3 struts come out of the shock body about 12", that should be plenty of height to get a compressed spring in there, even a lowered spring.
