    E36 struts on e30

I have searched and searched for more info on this but can't find the answers im looking for.

I bought a 94 e36 325i mainly for the engine. Since I have the whole car i would like to use the suspension on my e30 as well.

Now everything i read says I have to use the suspension from a 96 and up m3. So my big question is can i use just the struts and knuckles with the e30 control arms and make it work? What is the difference between a 96 m3 strut and knuckle vs a 94 325.

I have found some images comparing control arms side by side with in depth reasoning but nothing on the struts and knuckles.

    Any input is much appreciated.

The M Struts are shorter and a better fit than the Non-M Struts.
