    Koni SA

I have searched for a number of hours to find the answers to Koni installation in an IS car.THE car I want to install the Koni SA's in is an 87 ES which used Bilstein type shocks from the factory ,with a very large piston diameter and slightly stiffer springs than a regular 325 .The bilsteins came with no bump stops and only a top mounted rubber dust boot,my goal is to change the shocks only and add the bump stop and rubber bellows type dust boot,my question is ,has anyone gone through this process?...can I use the original gland nut from the bilsteins to mount the koni's?,what bump stop should I use ?and dust cover ?that will fit together?...and is the top mounting nut on the shock a 19mm like the Bilstein so I can use my original strut mounts.

Think koni's take shock gland nut, I know for fact bilsteins have there own gland nuts with them since the strut part is larger then stock, and koni's. You could go with oem bump stops, and dust covers.

Thank you ,I will do that...Koni has a number of adjustable shocks, very confusing hard to determine the differences,koni,86-2277...,8641-1021...,8641-1210 and more this does not even include the touring range.
