Has anyone rebuilt a steering column before? thinking about replacing bearings, etc

This is for the steering COLUMN not the steering rack. I'm already replacing the rack. Column is in good shape, but while its out I may as well overhaul it. Any threads out there with guides on this?

I am also contemplating doing this but am hoping to see some details on it before I take it on.

I'm pretty sure my lower bearing has a bit too much play.
