Euro 318i manual steering to z3 rack?

I currently have a 1986 euro model 318i with manual steering and an s50 swap. I'd like to add the z3 rack and power steering. Most of the power steering kits and DIYs out there only cover the swap from a 6 cyl power steering e30. There doesn't seem to be any info for a manual rack, is the swap the same components, in terms of fitment and parts needed?

yes, it's the same stuff

you might not have a collapsible link, which common instructions say to disassemble and shorten via some washers, but it's possible to loosen the upper spliney bit and slide it closer to the firewall to get the rack to fit.
