What suspension setup is most like oem sport

I've been looking around for a while at different suspension setups on on the internet, but I'm still undecided. What I'm looking for is a ride feel similar to the sport package feel on a 2001 530i that I have driven a lot. It is firm but doesn't beat you up and it is lowered a bit but by no means sitting on the ground.

    Any suggestions?

You can go with coilovers and ask for a softer spring. It's very difficult to "over-dampen" BTW

By H&R OEM Sport, I mean the "OEM Sport" model springs made by H&R, not any BMW springs.

Are the "H&R OEM Sports" different than the "H&R Sports?"

Yes, they don't lower the car as much. They're just a hair below stock ride height, they're better performance springs than stock.

Now I see. As for shocks, should I just stick with stock or maybe something like bilstein heavy duty?

if you want sporty, then go with bilstein heavy duty (HD)

Im currently running that very same setup and it is perfect in my opinion. I daily drive my car on NE roads which are far from perfect, yet this setup gives me the sporty ride I want with carefree driving. The HR OE Sport springs lowered my 318is about an inch and work well in combination with the HD shocks. Id recomend M3 CABS as well as long as your in there. Check out my sig for a pic of the ride height.

Konis ride a lot better than Bilstein HD or Sport.

I'd recommend Koni/H&R for a good ride quality.

Konis do feel a little better, but they also cost a bit more. Tradeoffs.
