How to stop the E30 bouncyness with the help of Ebay and £38

Been having this rear end updamped issue with the 325i when i have people in the back so thought i'd try and do something about it.

so made a purchase from the dreaded evilbay, arrived today

    out with the old

dead boge automatic shocks with no compression damping and barely any rebound damping. so bad when i unbolted the top mounts the shocks started compressed fully under there own weight.

Ebay to the rescuse, yes one pair of brand new koni sport adjustibles for just £38 shipped to my door.

all fitted and nice and firm.

i can confirm after being out in it taking my wife and a friend to work all boat on choppy water feeling is gone from the back. just very well damped but very smooth feeling. cuts out some of the body roll in the back too.

just gotta keep and eye out for a pair for the front. but i get the feeling i may need to get them new.

thanks considering they only arrived here at 10:30am (uk time), and i did valve clearances too while i was at it and the car back on the wheels and pics on here by 13:20 (uk time) i'm pretty pleased with myself.

Weird having to remove all the boot trim to get at the top mounts

getting that out and in again took more time then putting the shocks in. the volvo i had before this everything is done from outside the car.

new Koni's for £38 that sounds like a steal, was the auction listed incorrectly?

nah sounds like they had them ordered in for someone along time ago who never came back, so they just sold them off cheap to recoup some funds.

makes me happy though, so i don't mind.

                38 sterling = $71 U.S.

                Nice find indeed.
