Front Sway Bar Removal Help Needed

I found a covertable at a local bone yard and I'd like to grab the front sway bar. I tried to pull it out last weekend but coulden't get it out. I got it unbolted but could not maneuver it out.

It seems like the only way to get it out would be to unbolt the control arms, is their an easier way?

I took off the endlinks and the bushings, then pulled sideways, took some work but it came out. The cabbie I got mine out of didnt have the engine anymore though, that might be why it was easier.

I unbolted the "lolypop" control arm mount. you can eve do it with the car on the ground (althugh bolting it pack will take ore effort).

I believe there were 4 bolts, the two endlinks, and the two bushings which I believe bolted to the subframe. Even after removing those four bolts I was unable to work the bar out from between the control arms and subframe.

Drop the lollipops...4 bolts and you corner better.

You just bumped a six year old thread. The boat you're in sailed a longass time ago :)
