Filling my Newb quota for today - Springs

Shopping for lowering springs for my 84 318i and noticing a lot of vendors on ebay state their springs are for 85-92 models. Did BMW do something different in 84?

springs are the same for all e30's shock/struts are different in 84

THey will work fine on your car. The only diff is you have the early sturts with small tubes.

wait, explain the small struts vs large struts...i have an 84 318i and an 85 325e, should i swap the 85 struts to the 84?
