Apex & Spax Suspension. Anyone Know Anything?

I know Koni and Bilstein are great, but does anyone use Apex or Spax springs and shocks? I don't think we get them in Australia, so I don't know much about them. Has anyone heard good things about these brands?

    Thanks, Colin.

They are meant to be pretty good.

They are the "Control" shocks used for the E30 series in the UK, here in NZ they use Koni SA's.

I think SPAX also do some nice DA and TA shocks.

I have e30 M3 spec Spax springs with billies on on of my e30 325is. It drops it very very low and is really firm but not bonejaring. Best ride of all different setups I have on multiple cars all with billies and IE3, eibach sport, bavauto.

I bought my spax used with all 4 dampners. but those wore out quickly as they were previously on a track car from guru Jack Money if I recall.

Thanks. What brand are the controll shocks in the UK?

And sorry, but what do you mean by SA, DA and TA? I assume the A is for Adjustment yeah?

I had a spax kit on a previous e30 lowered 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear...I was very pleased for the price. The stiffness was comparable to the h&r sport/bilstein sport I have now.

I have Spax springs. Car came with matching shocks but they blew out within a month of purchase, I now have Bilsteins. I like them, a little too low for the street, but do well in autocross and track days.

The car handles very well with this set up and I would recommend it to anyone.

You can see the stance in my sig.

Thanks guys. I ended up going with an IE3/Bilstein Sport combo.
