shock/spring installation

Hello! I have couple of questions about mainly shock and spring installation. here is the list:
bumpstops (frontx2)
spring pads (4+4 fr. rr)
shocks+springs
Now, I'm not sure if I need some special washers for the rear+front, becuase I don't think I'll be using the old ones!
What about z3 reinforcement plate? Does it just mount over the shock gasket? Am I missing anything? I'll update this thread as I go and add some pics!

We usually mount them on top, like shown here.
Excuse the painted shocks. :)

No, they are mounted on the top (inside the trunk). They go right under the nuts.
