    solid steering coupler worth it?

I will be doing a rack swap soon and was wondering if anyone was running a solid aluminum coupler instead of the rubber flex disk? Looking for feedback on wheter or not this will tighten up the steering feel. All other bushings are poly, new control arms and tie rods. Viable option for weekend driver/autocross car or overkill. IE sells urethane couplers. Solid is going to be pretty harsh IMO but I'm coming from a non power steering point of view. I had urethane on my 2002 and went back to stock because my hands would go numb on long highway trips from holding the wheel. Not sure what rack swap you are going to do but if it's a DD and you spend any amount of time on the highway or if you share the car with a wife/other I'd suggest not doing it or at least try urethane ($20) first.
