Front Adj Swat Bar links - life span?

I've had a bad clunking noise coming from the front end when going over driveway entrances\speed bumps\etc that seems to be getting worse.

CABS, control arms, struts, springs, tie rods, upper strut bearing/mounts, sway bars and links all new in the past year.

Had a chance to look under the car today - checked the strut collar and all other usual suspects, nothing appears loose. My neighbor, a BMW dealership mechanic, stopped by and took one look at the sway bar links and said that was the problem. They are Ireland Engineering adjustible links just about a year old.

I unhooked the bar and drove the car - clunking went away. Ordered a new set of links from Flying Brick. My neighbor says the winter roads and salt tear up the adjustible links very easily.

Anyone else have a similar issue? At $55, adjustible links become expensive if I'm needing to replace them after only a year!

From what I've seen ire land links are junk, my fried purchased a used Ireland bar with barely 10k miles on it and the links were rusted solid.

Where as my custom made links I've had my car for almost 2 years with no issues, but it rarely snows around here

What did you use to make the links?
