This kit is more oriented at the smooth roads commonly found in Germany. Not our pot hole battle zones we call roads and highways.
Seriously our roads are junk as they get little to no maintance, bridges are falling, rutts in the pavement from overloaded trucks due to lack of weight enforcement.
Dan Gillian had good luck with his FK kit awhile back. He said it was quite stiff and was still streetable.

HOW TO BREAK OIL PANS:
Step 1) Buy an E30 (6cyl, cabriolet preferred)
Step 2) Buy and install H&R Cup Kit
Step 3) Back out of your driveway.
That's it!
After driving my car, and then an E30 with a real suspension setup, I definetely see how much brighter the light is. Butttttt, I'm so addicted to the slow, low, and floater look!

cup kit is very soft, but for a stock 325 at the track with some urethane bushings, the soft just helps with traction. when running street tires.
Ibut i too like it lowww...low with lippage, stretched tires or squared...w/e...just lowwww and flush. I need to roll my fenders moar!Last edited by blueapplesoda; 03-18-2007, 10:04 AM.

Its fine for me, handles fantastic, the sways removed quite a bit of roll, and the car responds how I want it. I see no point in changing it out at this point.
The question I should ask you cup kitters is if you could do it all again would you have chosen the cup kit? Be honest.

I've had it on now for close to 2 years. I run it daily on the nasty streets of chicago and 'burbs...
I honestly don't mind it. Yes, it is soft- i do find that it rolls too much and that the front end bottoms on really hard bumps. That being said, it handles relatively well; not perfect by any means, but it's fun.
If i had to do it again i'd go with IE3s and Konis, provided coilovers were not something i was interested in at the time, and i wanted to stick with a shock/spring combo. It's strange, the cupkit's shock valving seems quite stiff given the spring rates; i think that konis with a stiffer spring would be a much preferred choice for handling as well as ride.
In the meantime, I won't be changing it out soon as I've got other things that need my $ first. However, i picked up some ST sways to reduce some of the roll; hopefully that will satisfy me until i've got available funds for GCs.Jay
