    How bad are Tokicos?

From the price I assume they just might be worse then stock. Anybody have any Tokico experience on their e30? Im not planning on buying a set myself but I want a good defence when people say I paid too much for Konis when they might of paid too much for Tokicos

i think that there is a lot.... A LOT of bias in suspension area. Untill you try stuff yourself, you won't really know what's better for you. Of course within a reason, ie: don't listen to everybody, listen to those who really had the relevant experience.

Im mainly looking for responses like "They blew in under a year" and the like. Posts where people had tokicos and switched the Koni's or Bilsteins are the most telling. Anybody loving/hating their Tokicos?

Suggest looking in a mirror and saying what you want to hear.
              They're fine for OEM replacement.

I have tokiko illumias in the front of my grey car with billy HDs on the rear (From PO). I am less than impressed. I like my billy sports on my eta alot better. I am planning on getting some Konis for it this summer.

It might be the shitty intrax springs I currently have. It is definately stiffer than the billy sports.

Considering you can get a set of matched tokico springs and struts for $305.00, I don't think they are a bad deal. I have used tokico's on a couple 240sx's and also on my corolla gts and they are nice. The high end models like the short strokes and some of the illuminas are very nice. Overall, they are not on koni or bilstein level, but they are much better than stock. If your car is already lowered then they might not match well, and I would beware of that.

I always heard Tokico was crap, although I've never personally used them. For the price I guess you can't really go wrong with them if they last more than a year.

I still love my KYBs, considering I got all 4 for under $130.

I would rather have Billy sports, but WTF, for $130, all is good.

If they really sucked I would be unhappy. No one who rides in my car would call it poorly controlled, I assure you.

I have had tokiko blues in the back of my Datsun for probably three years now with no complaints. I think they could be a little stiffer but so could my springs so... I don't think they are crap but I do agree that the bilstein sports in my bimmer are much better quality.
