    H&R springs for E36 and E30

I'm sure there is a difference, but they look similar, are they interchangeable?

    E36

    E30

    It's a silly n00b question... but I'm curious...

    Wrong spring rate, length etc...
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.

Ok, that's what common sense told me, but I thought 'd ask, esp. when some companies want an extra $200 for the E30 springs over the E36...

I'm trying to find IE3's or H&R races, new or used, for less than $300, so far, no luck...:(

The number of coils a spring has has a large effect on the spring rate. I am getting home on Sunday and I have some stock e36 m3 springs in my garage that I can measure. I know I put the rears on my 1991 318is with no spring pads and it was as high or higher than stock height. I would guess with spring pads it would be another 1/4" higher or more.
