    Questions about spring/shock swap.

Roughly How long do you think it would take someone who doesn't really know what they're doing to do front and rear springs and shocks? How long would it take someone who knows cars well, but not e30s necessarily? Is a spring compressor required for the fronts? I've heard some people say that It's not needed if you have 2 people.

I've done it a few times without a spring compressor, but I don't recommend it. There's a lot of stored energy in those springs...

also depends on spring rates (for install).. some aftermarket springs are so short and stiff you don't need a compressor.... but you can rent mcpherson strut spring compressors at most auto parts stores for very cheap, so there is no reason not to be safe.
