Car pulls left sometimes then right others?

The car will sometimes pull to the left and other times it will pull to the right.
I recently put on Bilstein sports and Bavauto springs. But it did it before I put those on, so it cant be atributed to that.
The ball joints are poping so I will be ordering new ones.
What could be causing the problem. It did it with and w/o power steering. So I am at a lose unles the tie rods are bent but you would think it would just pull one way.
Somone said that you could get air into the steering system, is this ture? He told me how "to bleed it" but I wanted to be sure this was something that could actually happen first. I am not new to cars, just old ones that need maintaincne that is not performance/cosmetic/preventative.
    Thanks in advance!

I also noticed that there is some play in the steering even without PS

Sometimes while turning and hitting a bump the steering feels like it slightly changes direction or turns in futher. Any ideas?

Bad alignment and/or bad ball joints.

Do you have any tread scrubbing marks? At least that might point you to either side as being worse than the other.

How are the CAB's ? At least that's an easy one to see what's going on.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Get your alignment checked. My e-money is on that being the cause.

The first thing to do is to fully inspect the entire suspension and replace any worn parts. Up front that probably means new control arms, CABs, and tie rod ends. In the rear that means new subframe bushings and RTABs. In the bushing in the rear are iffy the car can pull in from camber thrust. So the rear suspension is just as important as the front.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Put the car up in the air and check for whatever is shot.
My car did that when I first bought it, turned out my upper strut
mounts and tie rods were done.

weren't your ball joints popping the other day on the drive? seems to be a cause.

my car had the same problem.. rebuilt the front entire front end.. still had the issue. turned out to be worn rear subframe bushings... The whole rear end would pivot ever so slightly about the rear diff hanger pt causing the car to seek left and right after hard turns.

brigth side, got a new suspension on the car by the time I got done chasing this issue
