Bilsteins for GC Coilovers?

I'm putting together a GC coilover setup for my car and intend to pick up some already modified strut housings from a member here. I'd like to stick with Bilsteins, at least for now, so does anybody know what fitment I'd need for the fronts for a shortened strut housing?

Corrado G60 or what?

Get in touch with ebelements (Erik) and he will confirm for you that on his sick copper colored lowrider he is sporting Corrado G60 Bilstein Inserts.

Yeah, it seems like it should work. You have to put a spacer between the gland nut and the strut, right?

My shop orders from worldpac all the time, so I figure I'll get the corrado shocks, some camber plates, strut housings and put it all together. Then my actual swap time should be greatly reduced and I'll have some front shocks to sell along with my Eibachs.

yeah, im running the Koni SA corrado G60 struts...the fit fine with spacers on top.

What are the dimensions of your spacers? Or maybe I should just call GC and have them send me some...?

let me get the exact dimensions...they are basically a pipe, in the same diameter as the strut, cant remember the exact length though.

Ok, so assuming the strut housings I'm getting are indeed shortened, what exactly does my shock application have to be? G60 Corrado, what year? I will be ordering Bilstein Sports from worldpac and I need to know what I need.

so then what is the benefit of running the "shorter" corrado shocks if you are still only cutting the struts down an inch or so? won't the shortened Koni's take care of the decrease in strut lenght? are the corrado's THAT much shorter?

since a corrado is basicly a mk2 VW won't all inserts work?

OR, is it a "shortened " Corrado strut insert?

It is my understanding that GC's "Shortened" Koni insert IS a modified Corrado insert that is installed into the shortened housing with a spacer on top, between the gland nut and the insert. This allows a lower ride height, more travel, and prevents the shock from bottoming out completely. I was looking to run a Bilstein setup which is why I would need Corrado shocks but it seems Dave is hooking me up with some stock length housings so I can keep my regular stock length bilstein inserts.
