Ground Control coilover kit. what shocks?

I am getting really close to ordering the Ground Control coilover kit. I am comfortable with modifying the front strut tubes and just a few more questions before I buy.

    1. What shocks are you all running with ground controls? I have been thinking about just getting bilstein sports, are these going to do well with the 1.5 - 2 inch drop I plan on running?

    2. This is going to be my first modified suspension and I don't want spring rates that are going to kill me and make nobody want to ride in my car, but i would also like to mostly eliminate body roll with the coilovers (I don't see myself getting sway bars in the near future). Would 450f/650r be good rates for me? I plan to track the car occasionally but it will also be my daily driver.

    3. Where can I get the best price on Ground Controls and my shocks in the same order?

Thanks to all who can help.

If you plan on dialing out body roll with spring rates alone you will need a stiffer setup. I DD 525/750 and I don't think it is that bad. As far as shocks, you're better off with a shorter koni although a bilstein would work also. The koni's are adjustable and can be dialed in to match your spring rate better unless you just get custom valved bilsteins. Also, if you plan on running low or somewhat low you will want to go with a shorter koni as well so you can shorten the strut tube so you aren't on the bump stops all the time. Hope this helps a little, whether you go with bilsteins or koni's you will enjoy the setup.
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.
