    Look what I found

Was driving home last night and started to hear this popping on the interstate. When I got to work this morning I looked at it, and found this. I think I'm just gonna get my friend, who is a professional welder, unless someone has a better idea that won't cost as much as I paid for the car. Hopefully with some camber plates and bolts, I can get it where it needs to be if i'm to far off.

I was also thinking about just cutting the whole support out of another e30 and welding it in place.

    cost efficient ideas?

You could half-ass weld it up and make it work ...although it wont be right .

Since its already deformed and ripping you'd be better off replacing the entire shock support .

WOW that is BAD! I would definitely cut the whole thing out of a parts car and weld it all in new. You'll never get it right just welding it up. Not to mention it looks like there is quite a bit of rust (which caused it).

nope, just driving down the interstate. i'm sure it was just on the edge of failing. probably just hit a big bump and boom. if anyone has ever lived in birmingham, they would know that we have some seriously rough roads. i just got this car two weeks ago. im gonna just cut one out and weld it in.

I thought that was supposed to be that way. Duct tape should fix it.

That's fucked up.... if it was my car, I would base my decisions on how much I paid for the car....
