rubbing on inside of strut tower help

I just installed my vorshlag camber plates, H&R race and bilstein sports on my '89 e30 over the weekend. Everything appeared to be perfect but on the second day of driving the set up is sounds like / feels like what seems to the spring perch or the spring itself rubbing on the inside of the passenger side strut tower. It only seems to happen on slow speed turns and only on the passenger side...

What can I do to fix this? Shouldn't the strut towers be identical? Can I take a body hammer and whack a mm or two of clearance? Any other ideas?

    Grind the perch down.

Interesting, I didn't think of that. Have you done that before? Will it affect the structural integrity of the perch?

Yes, when I installed lowering spring seats, they were much
wider than stock and rubbed the insides of the strut towers causing
the springs to pop and bind during slow speed turning. I ground them down to stock diameter and it solved the problem. As long as there
is enough material for the spring to sit in, you're fine.

You may just have dialed in too much negative camber. With stock diameter springs the camber limit will be when the upper spring perch reaches the shock tower. I run both sides in as far as they will go without rubbing and then set the camber to the lesser of the two readings.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

..good advice here. What is your frt camber setting when you get the rub?

You should be able to get at least 3-3.5 w/o rubbing issues.

EG,.........Your comment on spring seats confused me...he's running oe size springs w/ stock spring seat I believe. Vorshlag plates do require a unique upper mount I believe though. Can you explain?....am I not understanding something?
I love sitting down and just driving!

I've got to get the car on the rack to get the camber specs; however, you can visually see that there is much more camber on one side compared to the other.
