Good combo or no? Bilsteins and M3 springs

I am thinking about getting Bilstein Sports and E30 M3 springs. Will this work? I have heard that bilstein sports are best with some sort of of sporty lowering springs. Will I have problems or will everything work?\\

    Any response is appreciated

yes it will work, but it wouldn't be a bad idea just to buy some springs designed for a 318, possibly less weight up front then an m3. Search many people have done it before

318 and s14 weigh comparable. M3 is a 1 inch lower than oem so this goes fine with Bilsteins.

That is what what i thought, All e30 springs are interchangable so i thought i could save $$$ getting a set of m3 cause i only want to lose an inch. Then pretty much bilsteins all around and all new bushings eventually

318, M3 and even 325 springs are the SAME part #. I know because I sell them :D

I wouldn't bother with stock m3 springs unless your on a tight budget and the Bilstiens your talking about are their cheapest ones.

You put some springs on a 325 that is designed for a four cyclinder your front end will be slushy!

What kind of springs are you talking about, what company. Please tell me so i don't buy them

S14 weighs 234lbs and a M20 weighs 258lbs Springs won't even notice that 12 lbs per a side of a fatter person sitting in the car...

Now compare the m20 to the m10

Why he is not talking about using M10 springs he was wanting to use M3 springs. M10, yes significantly lighter at 180lbs.

                      H&R Sport Spring 325e, 325i, 325is #50406
                      H&R M3 Sport Spring #50406
                      H&R M3 E30 OE Sport Spring #50404-55
                      H&R 325e, 325i, 325is OE Sport Spring #50404-55

What's interesting is even though there is a different part# listed currently for the standard 318, when you receive the box, it also says 325 and m3 on it.

in general the different models would have the same spring rate, but the 4 cylinders had a shorter front spring.
