Im planning on running 002's with 205 45 16's. I need stiff suspension so that i wont rub, but i want it as cost effective as possible.so i was thinking to go with cosmo coilovers. From what ive gathered, the front can be made to get real low by cutting an inch off of the strut housings and rewelding the perch, but the rear doesnt sit low enough. How do you get the rear lower? is the only remedy to get 2.5 id 5.00" rear springs?

well jdaigner is sellin me his 5.5" 475# 2.5 in. rear springs from a gc setup for cheap so im hoping that will be low enough to eliminate the fender gap and see how i like the setup at least for now. also on cosmos website it the rates are 336lbs/448lbs so will the 5.5 in spring rate of 475 be fine ?Last edited by fmxomar; 11-07-2007, 10:00 PM.

Keep in mind that if you shorten your strut housing you will need a shorter insert in the front. What are you using this car for? Just street driving? Autox? HPDE's?
475 should be ok in the back I would think but it's not stiff by any means if that's what you're looking for. I DD 525/750 which is stiff but drivable. The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.
