    Turning noise??!!

Hey guys I haven't driven my e30 for a while. I took it out today and when I turned it kind of groaned, like a loud creak when you step on old wood. This groan happened when I turned both ways, so it wasn't isolated to just one side. Anyone know what this could be. All opinions welcome. Thanks.

It's happened to me before, I find that putting a bit of WD40 on the upper strut mounts (in there with the bearings) helps. Good luck.

Low PS fluid will cause a groaning sort of noise as you turn the steering wheel.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

e30's use automatic transmission fluid for power steering so just fill the resevoir and its should be fine just make sure your not mixing fluids, it would probably be a good time to flush the system anyway.
