    how to raise a suspension?

I have some VERY low SPAX springs/dampers on my new turbo E30, and was wondering if there was a way to raise the ride height. Obviously taller spring pads can be used in the rear, but what about the front? Any spring pads there? Or could I have someone fab up some type of nylon or other substance spacers?

I'm having a hard time finding IE stg 3 springs right now so I thought this may be a solution.

    Thanks!

thicker spring pads should be available for the front as well, they are present on the top and bottom.

I know that a thicker upper spring pad is available for the front. Dunno if there's also a thicker lower pad. I used the thicker upper pad on my Spec E30 to reduce the gap that happens with H&R race springs when the wheels are off the ground and to shift a bit of weight onto the rear wheels. I'd say those pads lifted the front by about 8mm.

If you can't find IE Stage 3 springs, H&R Race springs are nearly equivalent.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Camber adjustment plates will raise the front too.

Thanks fellas...I may just grab some H&R race springs and call it a day. I don't think the spring pads will raise it enough, and I've got to get this thing driveable on the street.

jlevie....any pics of your car with the H&R race setup? I saw on TMS that they lower around 1.6 Front & 1.5 Rear....this is almost the same as the Eibach's lowered my cab in the pic below, which is still very streetable, but the H&R Race's will be far better for the track & autox of course.

Thanks Atomic.....what size wheels tires are you running in that pic? also what offset?

I'm considering some Sportmax's in 16x8 ET15 so i can fit some wide rubber in the rear but with the ET15 I'm sure I'll have fender lip issues with 225 to 245's mounted. I'm diggin how inexpensive and light the Sportmax rim is, and imo they aren't too bad lookin overall, sans the multi-fit lug holes. Anyhow, future plans are to bring my staggered 16" 3pc Hartge setup over from SG so the tires will be interchangeable.

                No problem at all...

Those wheels are 17x7 et25 with 215/40-17 BFG KDW-II's on H & R Race with koni top adjustables

EDIT --- The wheels and tires on my car are for sale as well. Going 5 lug now ... roughly 500 miles on the set

Despite what he said in the suspension thread, those are actually H&R Race springs on his cabby when he still had it. I just cleared that up with him finally myself. He has also since then noted otherwise that they are in fact race's. I saw that pic and what he thought the springs were at the time and bought sports specific to the vert.

FWIW, this is mine, yesterday. On H&R vert sport springs. Nowheres near as low.... =( Same size tires too, stockers.
