Solid vs stock control arm bushings?

What would you recommend? I'm enticed by the Treehouse eyeball bushings but I'm not sure I can justify the cost yet for a daily driver. It seems like the next-best option for improvement over stock would be to install solid bushings. What about offsets...has anyone got these on their car?

I'm using solid offset bushings (from Bimmerworld) on my Spec E30. Other than having a bit more road feel passed into the car I don't know of any negatives.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

M3 bushings are a good compromise. They're offset and solid rubber.
