    any suspension diagrams?

okay so I am going to come out and honestly say I really dont know how the whole suspension set up as a whole works together. i understand how shock and springs work. but like what about struts, bushings and all that jazz?

dont laugh at me! so if anyone can explain it, and/or show me a diagram of the e30 suspension layout it would be appreciated.

and what is a coilover really and how does it work

Actually the Bentley doesn't. Not only doesn't it have the diagrams, it doesn't even mention every washer in the writing.

      www.realoem.com has diagrams.

new control arms and control arm bushings
            new trailing arm bushings
            new subframe bushings
new sway bar bushings (comes with new swaybars if you go that way)
            new tie rods wouldnt hurt

thats basically all the bushings i think

the e30 has a typical MacPherson Strut front suspension with anti-roll bar in the front and a typical semi-trailing arm rear susupension also with an anti-roll bar in the rear.

just google it or look under your car for a pic.

e30m3performance.com has lots of suspension info

Don't you have an E30? Get a jack and some jack stands. Jack it up, put it on the stands, take the wheels off, and lie underneath it until you get it. It's a very simple system and you will have an easier time with it if you just look at it.
