325i sway bars just front or both?

I am looking into getting sway bars and was leaning towards getting just a 22mm front. Should I go with both front and rears or would it be fine to do just the front? If I get a bigger rear then I have to reinforce the mounts. I don't want it to be too tail happy yet I would like to make it slightly easier to swing out the back end. Any advice?

What spring and shock combo are you running?
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.

I know most would frown upon this but I am using Tokico springs and shocks. Its got a nice ride but there is still a body roll even though it is better than stock.

I was previously running a 22m F sway bar with E30 convertible rear bar (14mm or 14.5mm?). While handling was ok with some understeer there was still too much lateral roll while turn in was not as sharp as I liked.

I then swapped over to a set of ST 22/19 bars. The thicker rear bar made a huge difference to turn in (electric!) and dry handling is great. However I feel the car is also more twitchy with the rear unsettled and in the wet, the car is too prone to big time oversteer.

My choice? I'll take the 22/19s and drive slow in the wet.

        p/s: I'm running bilstein sport + H&R

I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with the setup and ST sways, 22mm front and 19mm rear. I'm going to assume that those springs aren't the stiffest setup around. I ran H&R race springs with bilstein sports and ST sways and while you had to pay more attention in the rain it was not bad at all.

right now I am looking into getting IE 25mm adjustable front and leaving the rear stock. Maybe in the future getting a 14.5mm rear. Would I notice a big difference in the 25mm front alone? thanks.

You might end up with too much understeer. I'm happy with the ST 22/19 set up.

                Same - except IE bars.

                Same.

                Same.

As said, be careful when wet. It WILL come around on you.

I have the same setup: bilstein/h&r + ST 22/19 swaybars and it is definitely easy for the back end to come out. With that said, learning to control that is the fun part.

Oh yea, +1. Take it easy till you reacquaint yourself with the car after adding the suspension. I'm even more tail-happy than most as I have a 21/19 setup currently.

Btw, the cabrio rear bar is nothing special. The hot ticket for stock bars is the cabby FRONT bar, and the M3 rear.
