Front strut mounts: BMW OE "crash mounts"

I understand that BMW makes "crash mounts" for front struts.

The guys at the dealer tell me they know nothing about that.

Anyone know anything about these? How much negative camber do they take out? Turns out I need new strut mounts anyway, and I am looking for better tire wear...seems like these mounts just might be the ticket.

Oh yeah, and I need a part number, too, if anyone has one.

    Thanks!
    Luke

The mounts add or subtract .5 degrees of camber, and I think pelican has them.

EDIT: Turner has them, among others. The price is rather outrageous, at least to me. Camber plates wouldn't be too much more. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...ID=31331139484 and http://www.bimmerworld.com/html/fron...-and-stock.htm

Wow...if those are "each" prices, I could buy a set of stock plates and non-adjustable plates, or the Vorshlag system for the same or less...

I just wanna get less negative camber, dammit...why such a freaking EXPENSIVE hassle?!?!?!?!!

I thought the same thing about them being expensive. I double checked with www.pelicanparts.com and that price is for each one. And pelican was higher as well.

Shoot Erick(rwdrift) a pm and get him to price some for you. He has some killer prices on anything BMW for sure.

Or go with camber plate systems like you mentioned. But either way it doesn't look like a cheap fix for sure.

Buy real camber plates so it can be set perfectly.

Nando redrilled his strut bearings and re welded studs onto the tops to increase his camber up front on his ix (no camber plates made) I suppose you could do the same but the other direction.
