pelican's website lists a bunch of sizes from 17mm to 20mm for the front sway bar bushings, what would be best for 91 318i? also while im asking what would be best size for rear bushings as well.

The best size would be the same size as your sway bars. If you search, there's a thread here that lists all the different size sway bars for each e30.
