ok, i am in the process of installing bilstien sports and h&r race springs on my e30. i took both the front strut assemblies off and took them to a mechanic friend of mine to swap them over. he called me saying that the race springs dont put enough pressure on the upper strut mounts, infact they are almost 1.5 inches away (you can slide them up and down). the threaded collar on the bilstien sports are all the way tightened, and all of the upper strut mount is on. what is the problem? the shocks did come with these white o-ring/ spacers, do i need those? please help!
