Running ET15 wheels on a lowered car means you really need a fairly stiff ride. They do "poke" a bit. If I were you, I would save some coin for a set if IE IIIs or similar.

Count on rolling the fenders, too.

eibach prokits are pretty low. E30 fiends looks like it sits lower than my H&R races. H&R cupkit is lower but not as firm as their race.

ie 3s with that offset on a later car will most likely rub in the rear. h&r race is most likely going to be the bet here. i think the eibachs are going to be a lil on the soft side like h&r cup kit.

dont forget youre going to need shocks also. cant just dump the car and expect not to drag while using stock shocks.

There isnt a difference b/w IE3 and H&R Race other then the color and the IE3's are ~20bucks cheaper.

If i didnt go the coilover route, i would have definatly gone with this or J-Stock (Harsh)

I personally prefer H&R Race, because of the problems i have had with IE.

Also id go with Koni SA, a little bit more then bilstein, but they are adjustable. You can adjust to almost full soft for DD and then Stiffen it up for spirited driving/Autocross. But never put the konis to Full soft or full hard, it can mess up the valving and void the warranty.

As a reply the einstein's comment above.

I have sportmaxx wheels in the 16x8 et15. And I also have the eibach pro kit. They look awesome but they will not fit without rolling especially in the front. If you run soeng pads in the rear you will be ok there wit some decent shocks but in order for mine to fit the way I wanted them to, I had to severely roll my fenders. I rolled front and rear approx. 1/2 inch. That may not sound like much but to anyone that knows fender work, that's a lot.

So to solve your problem. You WILL need stiffer springs, if you don't want to roll the fenders then you should not buy the eibachs.

              Hope that helps a bit.

Oh if you wanna see how my car sits with no roll and the eibachs on the sportmaxx's, look at my posted thread called "just a little picture update" in the member's rides section.

              Good luck!!

your simply not supposed to run them like that. If you had a set of koni's and set them to those settings you find that it's a bad setting to be on anyway. it makes perfect sence if you understood what happens when you set any shock that is adjustable to its maximum rebound dampening.

when you do that you slow the rate of rebound so much that as you compress the shocks over bumps, and you hit many all one after another, you'll eventually bottom out the shock or strut and have zero travel if you keep hitting bumps that keeps it compressed. People misunderstand what "stiff" means, as rebound controls the speed/time it takes to fully extend the shock again. If feels more stiff when you set it to that setting, but it doesn't instantly equate to a better handling ride. a lack of rebound is like riding around on a pogo stick which isn't any good either, and feels really iffy as you hit a bump as the shock will rocket back out again. so a setting somwhere inbetween is ideal. you dont' buy adjustable stuff to set it to max high or low anyway. its to find the ideal point in between.

it would be like cranking your car stereo to the max all the time to the point that the sound is constantly distorted, and then you warranty the blown speakers or some other component. the knob can go there, but it doesn't mean it was ment to do that.

I don't know that you'd void the warranty on Koni SA's by setting them to full soft or full hard, but that's not likely to yield the best handling with sport or race springs. The best handling will result from maintaining the best contact patch. Since the Koni's are only adjustable for rebound damping, that usually happens when using the softest setting that doesn't result in wheel bounce over rough surfaces.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i just put the rims on the car and the wheel gap is HUGE!
it seems that i can lower the car more than 1.6 or what ever the H&R race are.

my new question is i found a set of 60/40 springs would they work
and how hard is it to roll fenders?? i dont have much skill could i do it?
