    Suspension Noise Help

I've just redone the suspension in my '89 325i and I beleive I now have a front spring that won't stay seated which results in a "clunk" over bumps. How do I get the darn thing to stay where it should.

I've looked at the subframe and that does not appear to be the issue.

I'm going crazy to think the springs are moving around or could it be another issue?

FYI - I replaced the control arms, springs (H&R sport), shocks (Bilstein), sways (Eibach) and links. I've also got IE fixed camber plates.

Have you checked to see that the 19mm nuts at the top of the struts are tight?

After I re-did my suspension I tightened everything up, but after a little driving around I guess stuff settled and my driver side was loose - tightening it up fixed my clunking noise.

I doubt that what you are hearing is the spring moving around. Worn upper strut mounts or something loose are more credible causes.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
