    polyurethane VS rubber CABs?

    someone told me that polyurethane squeaks, cracks, and isn't necessary if the car isn't a track car.
    have i made a mistake in buying the powerflex centered front CABs?

    Dude, you'll be fine just install them. They will increase NVH a bit though.

          Ah. I see.

          Is it hard putting the CABs back onto the control arm?

            IIRC, the hard part is getting it back into the lollipop - usually its pressed in. getting the bushing/lollipop combo back onto the control is not too hard - just grease her up nice.

                pulling both the bushing/lollipop off? just grab and pull - the bushing will most likely tear a bit. pull and twist back and forth till it comes off, hope you've been hitting the gym ;)


                getting the bushing out of the lollipop, easiest way is take them to a shop and have them pressed out and in. hard way is hack at the old ones to get them out, and be creative getting the new ones in without damaging them. most on here will suggest you get them pressed in at a shop. will take the shop 5 minutes.

                  hm, what about a big c-clamp and some wood boards for even pressure?

                  just a thought.

                    It had better be a big ass c-clamp. Those CABs are in there pretty good.

                      Urethane is certainly not needed for street use but it's not a bad thing.

                      As for changing them....getting the old ones off will be the worst part. You can use a 2 or 3 jaw puller carefully and you will tear the bushing. Then the inner part/sleeve is left on the control arm. Again, you should be able to use the puller to get it off. Take the parts to a shop and have them press in the new bushings. They should go back on pretty easily.
