I am about to drop some serious money (for me) into my 318is suspension. I have been working with flyingbrickperformance.com and they have been great, but I have one last decision to make. I need to decide between using "Street" camber plates, which use a factory center bearing / mount, or a "Street/Track" plate, wich uses a sperical bearing encased in urethane. BTW this car will be daily driven as well as see some AutoX, a few track events / driving schools per year, and plenty of fun Pacific Northwest backroads. Here is the setup I am going with:
Koni adjustables
IE Springs
IE 22/19mm sway kit (front and rear)
E30 M3 front CABs
Street poly subframe bushings
Poly TA bushings
IE weld-on rear toe/camber adjustment kit
stock diff mount
new spring pads all around
15X7.5 wheels, 225/50/15 tires
Understandibly this will be a relitively hard ride, but I was originally leaning towards the "Street" plates so there would at least be some vibration isolation. The downside, I am told, is that I will have to replace the factory rubber section every year or so. Can anyone speak to just how much MORE road noise, etc I could be getting by going with the urathane- style camber plates? I appreciate any input, especially in the next day or so before I make the purchase.
