yeah, im in the same boat. could you remove the spring pads only in the front and leave them in the rear? would that make a huge difference? id like to have some rake. i.e.-close to flush in the front and just a little gap in the rear. or at least have the gap be even, which on my 89 would mean rake.

Im not sure removing the spring pads in the front will make that much of a difference....Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.Comment

The "best" street suspension would include
M3 offset lower arms, offset stock type upper mounts, Bilstein HD's, and HnR race. In the rear replace the subframe and diff bushings with new ones and rear trailing arms with poly. You might gain a bit more due to reduced compliance in the bushings but it'll be isolated from the car by the stock type subframe and diff bushings.
Stiff shocks and poly bushings will make the car hit hard just as much as stiff springs.sigpic

I just did billy sports, h&r race, camber caster kit, suspension techniques sways, poly rtabs, Diff., and subframe bushings, solid RSM's. No spring pads.....The still feels great for a daily but is a little low......Comment

Alot of people overlook the Bilstein BTS kit. Realy conservative spring rates and great dampers. these with some M3 CABs and some soft urethane rear subfraem bushings and your set"aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines"
