Look man you don't need new shocks because everyone says so.......Because everyone else says so.....
You need new shocks because lowering springs ALWAYS are stiffer than stock. Shocks are valved according to how stiff the springs are.......
If the springs are NOT stiffer yet shorter, then they are JUNK. If the shocks are not valved with more rebound to handle stiffer springs those are JUNK to.
It's just the way it is.sigpic

If you don't care about ride quality then you don't need struts. I just bought my e30 and it's so low. But it's on cut stock springs, it handles okay, has weird tendencies though. But it works if that's all you care about. I wouldn't recommend it. I'll be getting better suspension when I can.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

i say take a torch to the springs just like the low rider guys do. just shrink those bad boys down! lol
if you dont upgrade the struts and put in lowering springs or cut springs you will fuck up your struts and it will feel like your riding in my friends civic hatch that has coilovers and stock struts! every bump feels like you got a chair pulled out from under you.sigpic
