I have the squeakiest E30 ever.....

I dont know what is making all this noise, but I am under the impression the PO has poly bushings on it. I hav not had a chance to look under there and see, and if I dont see any under there, what else should i look for? I have a couple speed bumps going into my neighborhood, and it drives me crazy.... Every corner of the car squeaks like crazy.

Should I just get down there and put some silicone on all the joints?

    You know nothing.

When I got mine, it squeaked just from looking at it.

Poly trailing arm bushings did it.
    IE sway bars did it.
    Shock mounts did it.
Muffler in it's bracket did it.
I used to turn up the radio to block it out, but radio had heavy static from wrong wiring.

Just tackle it one squeak at a time.

Aren't you suppose to grease polyurethane when you install it? Perhaps PO did not have the grease and skipped this step? I know you are suppose to grease poly once when you install it to minimize squeaks

Thats weird... I am using full urethane from Ireland Engineering all around and I get no squeeks?

It's bumpy as hell because I'm on their 75D "Race" Subframe bushings, but no squeeks. :p

I have some 75d bushing to install in my rear end as well soon. I did the CAB in 75d and its just fine, dont even notice a difference from rubber. From AKG.

Probably rear shock mounts. They seem to make a lot of noise when worn out.

My poly CABs from AKG squeak very badly, but everything in the back is also AKG poly and with a different kind of grease (marine grease) it doesn't make any noise at all. I'm about ready to put zerk fittings in the front lollipops to tone it down a bit.

The sticky silicone grease sold by Energy Suspension is wonderful stuff.

I have the AKG poly trailing arm bushings and subframe bushings. The trailing arm bushings are driving me INSANE - they sound like an old mattress just getting in and out of it.

I'm seriously considering swapping to rubber bushings. Not sure if the handling benefits outweight the practical downsides.

                            1. Go to boat supply store, buy "Marine Grade" wheel bearing grease for boat trailers.

                            2. Take apart sqeaky stuff, insert grease.

                            3. Repeat in 2 years, or just before you take a hot chick on a date.
