Early shocks in late model housings

I have new shocks in my 325, and I'm going to take the springs off of it and put them on my 318 when I junk the 325.

Can I swap the front shocks also, I know the rears will work but since the 318 is a late model with ABS is it possible?

The only cars that used the little front strut inserts were the early 318s. My '92 318iC has the 51mm inserts.

318 is little struts, 45mm. 320, and some euro 323 are also little struts.

e30 convertibles are the same as M3 diameter, 51 mm instead of 50.7mm, but not always. seems like 1992 mostly.

all 318is and USA 325 are the same at 50.7mm

325 struts will not fit INTO a 318 strut housing, BUT you can swap the whole corner which is much better anyway.

You have to change the 325 springs to 318 springs.
