GC installation

Who has done it? where can i find a write up. I am doing a slightly unconventional thing. I am installing a 5-lug setup with GC kit. I need to see some pics of where xactly people welded on their perch, and all other fun details. Just help me out, since i'm cutting/shortening e36 struts tomorrow.

PS: i say unconventional, and I'll post pics to show why when i finish, lol and porbably have my own write up in this thread.

If you are putting e36 struts on an e30, you will weld the spring perch on exactly where the stock e36 perch was.

BTW, GC does make special e36/e30 hybrid housings to adapt e36 onto an e30. The geometry is different, as well as the length, and the abs brackets.

But you can still use the stock e36 struts, its just not as slick.
