id just be worried about what the heat would do to the spring, could possibly fatigue the metal and make it break. could be dangerous. but its your car, do what you want.Leave a comment:

...and they are probably the same rate and height as cut factory springs. Put some nice shocks on and you wont be able to tell a difference between them or a cup kit/eibachs/bav autos/etc.Leave a comment:

remember that 1985 civic you saw that one time realy low with the deep dish Pacer wheels sticking 40 feet out,a huge spoiler, purple bubble tint, and it bounced like it had bubber blocks for suspension... cut springs. make sure you paint your alumn. spoiler kawasaki green too ;)
just look around. i found some used bavauto springs for $50Leave a comment:

Actually the rate goes up in direct proportion to how much coil you remove! Cut em in half and you double the rate (obviously youd never do that, just an example). But remove 10% of the wire, and you get 10% boost in rate. 20%, you get 20% boost, just like with typical aftermarket sport springs.Leave a comment:

What is the big deal about cutting springs? The rate should stay the same, and they become shorter... eibach and regular HandR are not much stiffer than stock springs and are shorter what is the difference?
It is a street car not a freaking race carLeave a comment:
