I absolutly love my vorshlag plates. They are very easy to adjust, easy to install, customer service is very good, and the quality appears to be great. Steering feedback (no power steering) has also improved and effort has dropped slightly. My only complaint are that they don't have a camber scale inscribed on them. They also may make the ride over small imperfections slightly harsher, although that could be the coilovers, as well ;).

They are fine for the price. For racing, I probably would spend more next time for something a little more "finished".

i have the ie street track adjustable camber plates and i highly recommend them for street use, the spec camber plates we offer may be too harsh.

the street track camber plates have a spherical bearing in a machined bearing holder surrounder with urethane and then placed into a second housing which then bolts to the top plate. No, they are not made in china.

So would you reccomend these plates with the springs you have? Are you satisfied with your decision or do you think you would go another route next time?

    Yup, same setup I have.
They will give you 2.5-3 degrees max negative camber depending on the car. I would probably not do more than 1.5 for a street driven car to save the tires. It does make a difference even at 1.5 which are where mine still are. Don't be surprised when you can't fit all the bolts they provide within the strut tower opening...normal. Also, you must use the dopey washers they come with or the steering will bind (yeah, found that one out myself).

There's several camber plates in there, which ones were you looking at? If you have stock diameter springs, some of those items arent what most of us would consider a "camber plate" because all they do is move your stock upper mount over to the side, and you can do that for cheap with a drill bit.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I think I will go with the IEs since the price seems good, but which should I go with? I know I want adjustable ones but which ones exactly? My car is mostly a daily driver but I go to the AutoX here and there sometimes. So which would be a good choice? Trying to decide between what is in here... http://store.nexternal.com/shared/St...t=products.asp

rsafier used IE plates on his turbo'd SM autox car with 285's.

    Alex Shipkov uses them too.

My understanding is you don't gain alot of negative camber vs say a Ground Control plate. And maybe no caster adjustment. Not sure there would have to check for yourself.

IE's were pretty much the only legal option for Spec E30 for quite awhile. Thus, I own a set. They come with ZERO instructions on how they go together and it is confusing, but the SE30 racer's site has photos and instructions buried in one of the threads that you can search for.

They are ok for the money, but if I had to do it over again, I think the ones from CARR would be legal and I'd go with those. The trick is you have to find ones that work with the stock spring perches. Not all of them do.

I was able to avoid the whole IE non-existent customer service experience by buying mine through Flying Brick. They are very helpful and sometimes their prices are even less than IE's!

I went with Ruff plates from Carr Industries for my H&R Race/Bilstein Sport setup. I'm very happy with them.
