Aside from the sleeve size, which I've heard is too big and rattles if you don't shim it right, you will just need to compress the old spring, pull off the hats, remove the springs, remove the strut inserts, and cut off the lower spring perch. This is very thik metal, so I suggest a pneumatic grinding wheel. Use the original welds as a seat for the adjusters, and make sure the adjusters sit evenly on the weld to disperse the load evenly. Then, slide the adjusters on (make sure you shim them according to cosmo's instructions, assuming they bothered to supply any), reinstall teh strut inserts and boots (they may be hard to fit, but they really help keep the shock clean) and camber plates/strut mounts. I really suggest camber plates, specifically Vorshlag due to my experience with them, as they increase the suspension travel. Also, the stock upper mounts may be a bit too soft for coilovers. -
Then you will need to get shortened konis from ground control and have your strut tubes modified. You7 will then have reasonable ride quality, but you still have an oil pan to worry about.Comment
