    tokico coilovers, anybody use them?

A local shop is having a "sale" on this set up. Anybody here have any experience with tokico. I am really tempted to get them.

I'd be tempted to make RSM mounting area "Beef-ifications" first.

I may not know much about suspension, but them ain't coil overs.

BTW they are 330 shipped on FleaBay.

Wow, I'll trust your judgement then. But, to me, it sure looks like the coil is over the shock/strut assy. Now, an adjustable coilover suspension it's not.

Thats a picture of Honda parts. What you would actually get is two front strut inserts, two rear shocks, and 4 non-adjustable height springs in the stock locations. (not "coilover")

Here is my photo gallery answering common questions about Ground Control Suspension, and e30 suspension problems in general.

I knew those front inserts looked like Accord bits.

Yeah that is just a general image. But the shocks are 5 way adjustable. I know it isn't height adjustable. If anything, I'll get the shocks and springs separate. That way I can adjust the hight. I am more worried about the quality of the struts. And as for the price, I get a lot better of a deal then shows up on his site. I normally get a price that is a little lower then ebays prices.

I don't think I have seen too many reviews on Tokico w/ e30 applications. I had a friend that was a driving instructor, with a gen 1 mr-2, and swore by them.

I just talked to a couple of honda guys that are using them. They say they love them. Most of them where using the white shock with gc sleeves. That is probably what I'll do.

Coilover is a type of suspension setup where the spring (coil) is over the strut and that doesn't mean it has to be adjustable.

Girlfriend has been using Tokico Illumina's (sp) for almost 3 years now with Tein springs on her Lexus. Still rides like a dream. I wouldnt, however, put that shit on my E30. If it was so spectacular, everyone on E30tech would have that same suspension.
