    50/52 swap setups*** Suspension***

Trying to get a general census of what suspension you have in your swaps? I am in desperate need to redo my whole suspension, but do not want to waste money on buying stuff for the 318is when I will be dropping a 50/52 engine in later.

What have any you done with this setup?

I know Stuck has coilovers, but curious what some of the other options are...

Same suspension as normal I'm pretty sure.

H&R race and billy sports are common, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

So then there is no difference in the springs or struts?

        Well why would there be?

You're changing the motor, not the suspension.

The motor isn't heavy enough to make a difference IIRC.

Get some 325 stuff if your concerned but weight between the m20 and the m or s 5xx motors and trannys arent enough to really matter

For mine, I've just made a fairly extreme effort to drop the weight in the front. I replaced the US spec bumpers with Euro bumpers (plastics are heavy too, or at least the fiberglass support is), removed the metal valance in favor of a plastic airdam, removed the trans tunnel heat-proofing material, "deleted" power steering and A/C components (along with the fuel cooling system..), removed washer tank and components. I also opted for the plastic valve cover instead of the metal one.

So anyway, with the weight down to about the same as the M20 and accessories, my springs will function just fine. In theory.
